Hi. This is my original blog. I've decided to leave it up because it chronicles my journey as a writer. However, when my memoir, Breaking the Code came out, I realized I needed more than just a blog. I needed a website. I am now blogging on my website at:
StoryMatters2 .
Please join me there for more current information.
Sincerely,
Karen Fisher-Alaniz

You even have a calendar for your blog posts, Karen. Being informative and timely - that's what to expect from a writer. :) I strongly agree with what you've stated in your third paragraph, that there is power and healing within a story. I believe in the saying that goes like this: "Every story has an end, but in life every ending is just a new beginning.”
That is right, Matthew. Nobody can go back and start anew, but anyone can change their future. :) And the fact that memory is a fickle thing presents an even greater challenge to memoir writers. Secrets are indeed difficult to keep, even more so from our loved ones. Old wounds will always heal, but it’s the scars that remain forever. Reconciling what we’ve seen and/or done with heaven is one thing, but it’s another thing to reconcile it with yourself. Only until we have embraced the pain can we only, and truly, be set free.
“Story matters”— your title matters, indeed! :P It’s good to have a web title that’s straight to the point. In that way, it would help the viewers to not be misled as to what your website’s content, and point is. Also, striking website names help attract visitors, too, which is one of the ways to gain a lot of traffic for your website.

I strongly agree with Matthew and Staci. Sometimes, we have to let the past be past, and learn from our mistakes. Karen, I suggest you put what-to-do notes on the dates in your calendar. This way, your readers would have an idea when your new blog posts will be published. :)
Lovely that you all visited my beloved first blog. I hope to see you over at http://www.storymatters2.com where you'll find up to date information and blog posts. I've been working hard on my new site and even have some video up. I'd love to know what you think of it.
And by the way, when I do book signings for Breaking the Code, I sign them with "Your Story Matters!" It's my core belief and it's my little way of passing that message on. ~Karen
I checked your new website, and I love the blogs section. Actually, my favorite is the ‘acts of kindness’ blog. Hiking and photo-walk sounds interesting. Maybe I should try that; it’s like losing weight while enjoying the scenic views in the fields! Those first 12 in your list made me read more. I’m excited to see the next list. Anyway, there are still 37 acts to go! =)
