I sent my manuscript one day and was published the next. It's true. They were just different books. I mailed my manuscript yesterday and today got a surprise in the mail. Remember that Chicken Soup for the Nurses' Soul anthology I've talked about? Well, today I got my copy in the mail. My name is in the table of contents. My story is on page 92 and my bio is in the back of the book...very cool!This is the first time I've seen my name in a book! It will be in bookstores on December 7th, so I did not expect to see it this early. I actually thought it was junk mail since the return address said something about "health." It sat in my living room all day. I was saving it for my husband to open even though my name was on it. Afterall, I do the bills, he does the junkmail. But he insisted I open it and I did reluctantly. Sheesh!
What a surprise! So warn the neighbors, alert the media, tonight I'm doin' the happy dance!
