He he he...That title made you curious didn't it. Well, truth is...I have had some success with chicken- Chicken Soup for the Soul that is. I received notification yesterday that my story, A Dose of Compassion, will be published in Chicken Soup for the Nurses: A Second Dose in November.
The editor sent me a copy of my story and they've made some minor changes to it. No real big deal but strange to see my writing changed.
The story is about a time that our school nurse showed such compassion toward me. I was teaching at the time. So looks like I'll have to celebrate. Perhaps I'll do the chicken dance or roast a chicken or cluck like a chicken. Hmm...I'm up for suggestions.
